Free kids and adults sessions with Tony Dodds, NZ Sprint Distance Champion – Thursday December 15
Tony Dodds is the current and 2-time National Sprint Champion as well as 3-time Under 23 Standard Distance Champion. He’s regularly placing in the top 10 at World Cup races around the world and was looking like he might be the 3rd kiwi on the men’s’ podium in the recent Auckland ITU when he had to drop out with an Achilles problem.
Tony’s going to be in Wellington next week and has agreed to hold a couple of sessions for us:
- 5-6 pm Juniors session – all Wellington junior triathletes are invited to come and hear Tony inspire them about triathlon, why he got into it and what he loves about it. He’s promised to take us through a few drills that are guaranteed to make you faster. Juniors don’t need to be club members – just keen! Held at the auditorium, Queen Margaret’s College, 53 Hobson Street, Thorndon
- 7-8 pm Club session – Tony will give a short talk to club members about his history, this year’s season and his plans for next year and hopefully share some stories about the kiwis who are competing on the world stage at the moment. Held at Thorndon School Hall (next to Thorndon Pool), Murphy Street, Thorndon.
